Originally, Richard Sharpe was just a character out of the series of novels by Bernard Cornwell until Yorkshire-born actor Sean Bean brought him to life. Sean has portrayed Sharpe in fourteen different episodes ranging from Sharpe's Rifles to Sharpe's Waterloo. Although this listing is a Sharpe fanlisting, the title, Still Sharpe, originated from a quote by Boromir, another literary character also portrayed by Sean Bean, in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
